About
The engineer behind SingularVector
I’m Daniele, a systems and infrastructure engineer with more than 20 years of experience across Windows, Linux, identity and automation.
I work on the systems people depend on every day: servers, directories, messaging platforms and the processes that connect them. I like understanding how an environment works, finding the parts that create unnecessary effort, and building something better.
If the same task keeps landing on someone’s desk, I want to know whether it needs a person at all.
How I work
Automation is a substantial part of my engineering work. That includes PowerShell tooling, identity workflows and reusable functions, alongside the configuration and operation of Windows and Linux systems.
Writing the code is part of the job. Understanding the environment, handling failures and making the result maintainable matter just as much. I value clear names, useful logs, sensible error handling and documentation that explains the decisions behind a solution.
I want the next person opening a script to understand what it does without having to reconstruct my train of thought. That next person is quite often me, six months later.
What you’ll find here
SingularVector is where I share practical engineering work: guides, troubleshooting notes, scripts and configurations that solve a specific problem.
PowerShell has deep roots here. You’ll also find Linux tooling, Python and infrastructure automation, with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code forming part of the wider picture. I explain the reasoning, assumptions and limitations so you can judge whether an approach fits your environment.
My PowerShell Functions repository contains individual tools for administration and automation. IT-ToolBox brings reusable tools together in a module. The companion infrastructure notebook collects technical references, configurations and hands-on work.
Get in touch
I enjoy a good technical discussion, especially when it leads to a simpler solution or catches something I missed.
You can find me on GitHub and LinkedIn, or send me an email. For questions or improvements to a particular tool, an issue or pull request in its repository is the best place to start.
